Vacancy: Teacher of Design & Technology (ECT)

Job start date: September 2024 (sooner by negotiation)

Salary: £25,323 - £46,525

Location: Warrington

Contract type: Full time (part time available by negotiation)

Prospero Teaching are looking for an outstanding and enthusiastic Early Careers Teacher of Design & Technology to join our growing and successful team at a technical college in Warrington. A passion for teaching and the ability to motivate young people are among the qualities they seek.

This post is open to both experienced teachers and those aspiring to become a teacher. They are welcoming applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and from current industry practitioners who do not have a teaching qualification. Anyone joining the College will be provided with a range of support and training based on previous experience and individual need. The programme will offer a range of support and development opportunities, including inductions related to all College systems and processes, an assigned curriculum mentor and regular 1-2-1 support from the Head of Faculty. Industry experts who do not currently hold a teaching qualification will be supported to complete a L4 Certificate in Education and Training and will have opportunities to complete a L5 Diploma in Education and Training

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location - Warrington
  • Position - Design and Technology
  • Type of work - Covering classes in absence of a Class Teacher
  • Start date - September 2024
  • Contract type - Temporary
  • Full time/part time - Part time
  • Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £120 per day
  • Hours - 8:15 am - 4pm

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Recent Graduate, with a 2:1 or higher
  • PGCE in desired role
  • Previous experience working in a UK school
  • Previous experience working in a leadership role
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
  • Up to date Prevent training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references covering the last 2 years
