Teacher in Hairdressing and Barbering

We are looking for a Teacher in Hairdressing and Barbering.

Here’s the standard bit: You’ll be responsible for planning, delivering and developing teaching/learning programmes using a flexible range of strategies and learning styles; taking responsibility for your quality of teaching and related curriculum development that meet learner needs, whilst assessing learners progress in College or on work experience and devise assessment processes against highly personalised progress targets. You will also be required to oversee the in house training restaurant.

What you’ll need: - Enthusiastic, resilient and highly motivated with Literacy and Numeracy to at least Level 2, you must have a Level 3 qualification or relevant NVQ (or equivalent).

Relevant experience in the Hairdressing and Barbering sector is essential.

Level 4 Teaching Qualification: Certificate in Education/ PGCE/Bachelor of Education or required to achieve Level 5 Diploma (DTLLS) or equivalent within 3 years of appointment, relevant assessment qualifications - IQA/A1/V1 and evidence of current Continuous Professional Development.
