Job Title: Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher

Location: Exeter

Job Type: Full-time

Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced and qualified SEN Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other educators, support staff, and parents to create an inclusive and nurturing educational experience for students with SEN.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan, implement, and adapt curriculum to meet the individual needs of students with SEN.
2. Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths, challenges, and learning styles.
3. Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with SEN.
4. Provide differentiated instruction and support to address the diverse needs of students.
5. Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and specialists to create an inclusive learning environment.
6. Monitor and track student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
7. Communicate effectively with parents, providing regular updates on student performance and progress.
8. Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes a love for learning.
9. Stay current with best practices and research in the field of special education.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in special education or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
2. Teaching certification with a focus on Special Education.
3. Proven experience working with students with SEN in an educational setting.
4. Strong understanding of various learning disabilities and special education needs.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with students with diverse learning needs.
