A well-established accountancy firm is recruiting for a Tax Senior to join its dynamic team at its office in central London. The firm is looking to build the business tax team and the successful candidate will facilitate this and have the opportunity to expand on existing knowledge.

Within this role you will benefit from flexible working arrangements based upon core hours and have the opportunity for hybrid working, with an average of three days working in the office.

As Tax Senior your responsibilities will include:

  • Corporation tax compliance-related tasks including preparation and submission of company tax computations and returns, calculation of tax payment advice, dealing with HMRC
  • Supporting the wider team on advisory and tax consultancy projects
  • Working with the audit and accounts team, calculation of tax-related accounting entries for inclusion in financial statements
  • Attending client sites on occasion
  • Liaising with colleagues from other departments as necessary
  • At busy times, assisting the client tax team with income tax returns for individuals, estates, partnerships, and trusts
  • Liaising with clients, attending meetings to support more experienced colleagues
  • Supporting less experienced staff members

The firm is looking for a bright, energetic person, who is commercially aware and has the desire to develop long term relationships with clients and colleagues. The successful candidate will be encouraged to broaden their knowledge and grow as rounded a trusted adviser.

We would like to receive applications from tax professionals with the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Be qualified ATT, CTA, ACA or ACA
  • Have significant business tax experience gained within a practice environment
  • Be diligent with a keen eye for detail
  • Good IT skills with experience of tax software
  • Able to work on own initiative, but also be a team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
