Tax Manager

My client, a leading player in the AI Industry are looking to hire a Tax Manager with a VAT Bias to take the lead on all indirect tax related issues across the group. This opportunity gives an extremely broad exposure, as there will also be elements of Corporate Tax. The successful candidate will have the chance to take the lead on compliance and reporting as the group look to streamline their VAT and Corporate tax function.

This would be the perfect next step for an experienced and ambitious indirect tax professional with an interest in systems as well as having experience in corporate tax.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the data and analysis for the UK, NL and US corporate tax reporting for the annual statutory and group accounts
• Prepare the UK VAT, correcting errors as needed and maximise VAT recoverable
• Proficiency in tax compliance software and ERP systems; advanced excel skills preferred
• Offer up-to-date VAT advice to the group, answering queries as and when required
• Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing teams and driving process improvements
• Bringing VAT and Corporate Tax matters to the forefront of group finance matters
• Support the Head of Tax with international tax advice

Requirements:

• ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified
• Understanding of UK VAT compliance is essential
• Experience in corporate and international tax
• Basic accounting concepts and principles such as reconciliation and double entry
• Personable with excellent communication skills
