Job Purpose

  • Manage the VAT provision, overseeing and motivating a small team.
  • Work closely with a varied client portfolio, ensuring client VAT expectations and deadlines are being met.
  • Lead client liaison on all matters of VAT including regular meetings, building trusted and long-lasting relationships.
  • Manage workflow for the team including VAT registrations, planning, compliance and regulations.
  • Review efficiencies and recommend new processes to improve workflow.
  • Maintain professional knowledge in line with changes to VAT legislation.
  • Advise clients on all matters of VAT.
  • Departmental billing.
  • Confidently network and scope for potential growth of the VAT department.
  • Review the work of junior team members, providing supportive mentorship.
  • Work closely with senior team members, providing support as needed.
  • Set an example to the team as a natural leader.

The Successful Applicant

  • CTA and or ATT qualified or qualified by significant VAT experience in practice.
  • Previous experience mentoring junior staff.
  • Previous experience building trusted relationships within a client facing role.
  • Excellent IT skills and knowledge.
  • Strong leadership skills with a natural ability to inspire those around you.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound organisation skills.
