Butler Rose is proudly working with a growing firm of accountants in Milton Keynes who are recruiting for an experienced Tax Manager (or Assistant Manager) to join their growing team. The role can be considered on a Remote or Hybrid basis.

Our client is a forward thinking and progressive firm and their lovely, updated premises reflects this. Over the years they have grown and are now standing at around 70 people. They offer a very friendly, supportive, relaxed team culture, and a flexible and hybrid working policy too (Remote working also on offer for this role).

The role

In this role you will oversee a portfolio of clients including high net worth individuals, family businesses, SMEs and large corporates, business owners, and managers and partners in professional services firms.

You would develop trusted relationships with your clients, with a view to providing the best possible service supported by your high-level technical knowledge, working on tax advice reports in a range of areas including Corporation Tax, CGT, Income Tax, VAT and IHT, embedded capital allowances claims, land remediation relief claims, EIS/SEIS applications and share scheme projects.

Ideal Candidate

• Relevant professional qualification, for example CTA and/or ACCA, ACA, CA.
• Self-motivated, able to work autonomously
• Strong attention to detail, to enable you to review complex technical information whilst maintaining an overall strategic and customer service focused perspective, for all deliverables we produce for our clients.
• High level of tax technical knowledge of the UK tax system.
• Proven experience in client handling and managing a busy portfolio.
• Perceives the needs and concerns of clients and adapts approach to meet these needs
• Excellent communication skills in a range of situations both written and oral
• Demonstrates an understanding of wider business and economic issues
