Job Title: Tax Associate (ATT/CTA Trainee)

Location: Peterborough

ProTalent is seeking a Tax Associate to join our client's top 20 accountancy practice firm based in Peterborough.

Are you currently studying for your ATT or CTA qualification? Do you have a passion for tax and a drive to deliver excellent client service? Uou will work closely with clients in Northampton and Milton Keynes, gaining exposure to a diverse portfolio and opportunities for career progression within the firm.

Responsibilities:

As a Tax Associate, your primary focus will be on expanding your knowledge and skills to provide exceptional client service. You will be responsible for managing a small portfolio of clients, assisting them with their tax compliance needs. Your tasks will include ensuring accurate tax returns, completing them within budget, and submitting them in accordance with HMRC deadlines. Additionally, you will actively seek opportunities to grow your knowledge base, develop technical skills, and apply them effectively in a business context. 

Qualifications and Skills:

- ATT qualified or qualified by experience

- Ideally currently studying towards CTA or equivalent qualification

- Strong practical and technical tax knowledge

- Basic understanding of accounts

- Proficiency in IT packages such as Excel, Tax Software, and Word

- Excellent communication and organizational skills

- Client-focused mindset

- Strong problem-solving abilities

- Ability to work well under pressure
