I am currently supporting a local West Kent-based Firm of Accountants that is looking to appoint a Tax Semi Senior/Tax Senior to their team. They are based in Kent for work-life balance purposes, but their client base is one you would expect to find working for a top London based firm. They are looking for an experienced tax professional with a background in mixed tax as this will be the main focus of the role, Corporation tax, and personal tax. They are a reputable firm in providing tax consultancy advice and accountancy support to its client base which has grown its service delivery within a very niche market. The Partners are both Top 10 trained, it is a professional, rewarding, and fast-paced environment where you will be rewarded for your efforts and achievements. At the same time, they can offer a very competitive salary, flexibility with hours, and work-life balance.

Ideally, they are looking to appoint someone who is an experienced Tax specialist who is either ATT Qualified and has experience of working in a similar field. You will be responsible for supporting a mixed client portfolio which varies from OMB to large corporate groups, experience in M&A would be beneficial. You will work within a small team, supporting the managers/partners, providing portfolio advisory services for the firm, and working within budget.

Your responsibilities:

-Support clients
- Preparation of tax computations
-Dealing with queries
-Preparation of VAT returns
-Liaising with the HMRC
-Corporate tax preparation
-Tax computations
-Supporting in personal tax planning and compliance

To be considered for this role you must be experienced in taxation, ideally, ATT qualified, qualified by experience candidates will also be considered. This would suit someone with experience of preparing statutory accounts and tax returns for Ltd Companies. The ideal candidate will be competent with IT systems and experience of Xero and Iris would be beneficial. You will be able to demonstrate strong communication skills, be a team player, and be able to work to tight deadlines.
