?? We are recruiting for Systems Engineers to join a large defence group in the UK.

You will be based in New Malden, spending 60% of your time on site & the rest from home �?

?? Starting salary of £42,000 with great company benefits available including shares ??

Relocation packages within the UK are available if you're interested in moving SW London! �?

What will you do?

  • Create designs, test plans, and installation instructions.
  • Solve design problems that come up during the process.
  • Build and test electrical and hardware systems to make sure they work properly.
  • Understand how Configuration Control and baselines work.
  • Use Visio to design hardware layouts.
  • Install and start up hardware on ships successfully.
  • Prove designs by testing them in-house and with external testing partners.
  • Write test specifications for shock, vibration, EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility), and other requirements.

Skills needed:

  • Experience working in busy project settings with multiple tasks.
  • Background in hardware development, especially using standard commercial off the shelf equipment.
  • Ability to write and understand technical and design documents.

Extra Points for:

  • Knowledge of COTS cabinets, how to design them, and managing wiring and power distribution.
  • Familiarity with blade servers, PCs, and networking technology.

Due to the security requirements for this programme, you'll need to undergo security clearance and have lived in the UK for at least 5 years.
