Salary: £25,000 - £30,000
Working Hours: Monday to Friday

Overview:

First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic International Defence business who are looking to recruit a Survival Equipment Supervisor on a permanent basis due to growth based at their Holyhead (Anglesy) depot.

As a Hawk Survival Equipment Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The Survival Equipment Supervisor is responsible to the Survival Equipment Controller for the efficient and effective management of all Survival Equipment (SE & AEA) maintenance activities for Hawk contract at RAF Valley. To provide aircrew equipment to fast-track pilots, without this role shift would be unmanned, existing staff would be stretched.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Appropriately task manpower resource within their area of responsibility so that scheduled maintenance programs are maintained, and emergent tasks are rectified in good time.
  • Act as a source of trade knowledge and maintenance process guidance to junior colleagues in the department.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with approved maintenance data with discrepancies, errors and omissions reported appropriately for rectification
  • Ensure staff hold and can display currency in all maintenance authorities required whilst carrying out maintenance
  • Ensure staff are briefed on all latest safety, company and maintenance notices and that understanding is confirmed



Skills and Qualifications:

  • Sufficient evidenced industry experience
  • Training in relevant discipline to City and Guilds Level or level 3 equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years in a Fitter position within a related engineering environment
  • Full Driving License desirable
  • Use a combination of general and specialist engineering knowledge and understanding to apply existing and emerging technology
  • Working knowledge and use of IT Operating Systems (MS Office Suite) and the Internet.
  • Ability to attain Q-SE-AC/Q-SE-AV-Med following formal training
