Successful electronics manufacturing company based in Basildon, Essex are recruiting for an experienced SMT Technician. As a SMT Technician you will setting up and breaking down component feeders for the SMT machine, operating the solder paste jet printer, pick and place and reflow machinery used to produce PCB assemblies.


Key Responsibilities
• Load/Unload components for surface mount machine.
• Operate paste jet printer.
• Operate pick and place machine.
• Operate Reflow oven.
• Inspect boards post paste printer and pre-reflow to ensure quality.
• Maintain machinery with routine maintenance.
• Label/Book in parts when required.

Qualifications, Skills and Education Requirements

• You should be able to work individually or within a team.
• Be flexible and proactive.
• Understand Health & Safety (the importance of their own actions & responsibility to others).
• Be able to follow work instructions both verbal & written.
• Be methodical.
• Have good eyesight and colour vision.
• Have suitable fitness levels. While performing the duties of this role, the employee may be required to stand, bend, kneel, twist, reach overhead.
• A flexible approach with a positive attitude will be required to join a very busy and growing company.
Ideally the successful candidate will have a solid track record in this area of the electronics manufacturing industry.
• Candidates should have previous experience running surface mount lines or experience running machines in a similar industry.

Hours are Monday to Thursday 7.30am-4pm and 7.30am-1.30pm Fridays.

Salary £21,673 - £23,233 per annum
