Join GSL Education as a Support Worker in Lambeth! This long-term role offers a rewarding opportunity to support students with special educational needs (SEND) in achieving their full potential. The Support Worker role is focused on aiding students with behavioural needs and social-emotional mental health difficulties (SEMH). The successful Support Worker will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and emotional development of these students, helping them to overcome challenges and build an inclusive environment.

Pay Rate: £90-100 per day

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement individualised support plans tailored to each student's requirements and assist students in developing coping strategies and managing their emotions effectively.
  • Promote Positive Behaviour; foster a supportive and inclusive environment conducive to positive behavioural development and Implement behaviour management techniques to address challenging behaviours, encouraging and reinforcing positive behaviour through praise and rewards.
  • Facilitate Learning: support students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities, provide one-on-one assistance with academic tasks, as needed and collaborate with teachers and educational professionals to adapt learning materials and strategies to meet individual student needs.
