We are looking to recruit a Supervising Social Worker in the Fostering Team within Southend. The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels.

The responsibilities of the Supervising Social Worker includes:

  • To receive request/referrals for foster placements.
  • Work closely with the PVI Placement Officer to identify suitable placements for children and young people.
  • Provide Foster Carers with all appropriate information (as per Fost regs and NMS) to make an informed decision about taking a placement.
  • Quality assure placement referrals to ensure that all relevant information is received to enable an informed and child centred placement search to take place.
  • Liaise with childs SW in respect of any updates amendments to be made.

To ideal candidate will have:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DipSW/CQSW/MSc/BA)
