Superintendent Pharmacist
33 Saltaire Road, Shipley, BD18 3HH

  • Full time - Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm (one hour lunch)
  • Permanent position
  • £55,000 - £57,000 per annum

With a supportive team and a bustling environment, they pride themselves on professionalism and efficiency. They are a busy pharmacy, dispensing and delivering circa 10,000 items per month.

About the Role:

As Superintendent Pharmacist, you'll oversee pharmacy operations, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining professional standards. Your role involves managing a dedicated team, liaising with healthcare professionals, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage pharmacy operations and meet KPI targets
  • Provide guidance to patients and team members
  • Oversee stock ordering and dispensary deliveries
  • Maintain accurate registers and records
  • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals
  • Ensure building security and alarm systems


The Ideal Candidate:

  • Possess an MPharm degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience
  • Willing to work 5 days a week - Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm (one hour lunch)
  • You will be required to have your GPhC registration upon your start date
  • Proficient in pharmacy computer systems and Microsoft applications an up-to-date knowledge of changes within pharmacy
  • Ideally knowledge of the CareMeds electronic system
  • Understanding of relevant NHS contractual requirements
  • knowledge of and ability to make the monthly NHS claim via the electronic claims system
  • Understanding of professional regulations relevant to pharmacy operations
  • Enthusiastic with excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Provide an excellent level of customer service and patient care
  • Flexible attitude
