We are looking for a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker based in Hull Primary Care Addictions Service.

Full time

Salary: £21738 - £26274 DOE

The Alcohol & Drug Service (ADS) are a registered charity who have been transforming the lives of people affected by drugs and alcohol misuse for over 40 years.

Hull Primary Care Addictions Service (Hull PCAS) work in partnership with Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust. The service covers GP surgeries across Hull, providing support to long term service users to make improvements in their health and well being by offering early interventions.

It is a very exciting time to be working in the drug and alcohol field, with significant new career opportunities being created.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and developing team, based in Hull. The Recovery Worker role will support you to develop the skills and knowledge to support service users with diverse and complex needs and their families with issues relating to substance use including alcohol. The successful candidate will learn to undertake an assessment of need from a person centred and strength-based perspective. You will develop a good understanding of recovery and gain a value base that stems from a strongly held working belief in individuals’ ability to change and live in recovery along with a desire to ensure each service user has access to the information and 'tools' needed to live a fulfilling life in recovery.

If you have relevant experience in the substance misuse field and a level 3 in Tackling Substance Misuse or equivalent, we would like to hear from you.

We provide a comprehensive package of accredited courses and for newly qualified Social Workers we support the ASYE programme.

NOTE: We are unable to support sponsorship visas.
