We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Health & Social Care Subject Leader to join our vibrant school community in the heart of Liverpool. This is a permanent role offering an excellent opportunity to shape the lives of young individuals.
Location: Our school is conveniently located with excellent travel links and proximity to the M62, making your commute as smooth as possible.
Role Requirement and Implementation of Policies:

  1. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of policies and practices for the subject that reflect our school's commitment to high achievement through effective teaching and learning.
  2. Holistic Development:
    You will ensure that staff understand the importance and role of the subject in contributing to pupils' spiritual, moral, cultural, mental, and physical development. Your role will be pivotal in preparing pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities, and experiences of adult life.
  3. Data-Driven Approach:
    You will use data effectively to identify pupils who are underachieving in the subject and, where necessary, create and implement effective plans of action to support those pupils. Your ability to analyse and interpret relevant national, local, and school data, plus research and inspection evidence, will inform policies, practices, expectations, targets, and teaching methods.

Qualifications required for this role:

  • A degree in Health & Social Care or a related subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching at KS3 and KS4.
