Structural Engineer

Structural Engineer - required for our client in Chelsmford. Our client Specialises in both commercial and domestic structural projects. Our client was founded in 1972 and has been providing both domestic and commercial structural engineering solutions for over 35 years.

The successful Structural Engineer will be working on projects from Structural Surveys, Refurbishment Works, Domestic New Build, Domestic Extensions, Commercial Design, NHBC Timber Frame Certification and Steel Fabrication. It is essential that the Structural Engineer has previous experience in these types of projects.

Structural Engineer Position Overview

• Structural design for all types of building structures,
• Preparation of associated AutoCad structural drawings
• Design approvals, coaching and mentoring
• Delivering design calculations
• Design for medium sized commercial projects and HMO conversions
• Assistance with site inspections
• Carry out hand calculations for verifying software outputs
• Structural engineering assessment and inspection of new and existing properties in steel, concrete, masonry, timber and glass

Structural Engineer Position Requirements

• At least 2 + years design experience working for a consultancy.
• A BEng or MEng in a Civil or Structural Engineering discipline
• Good understanding of building structures and materials including steel, masonry, concrete and timber.
• Proficient in the use of Graitec is preferred

Structural Engineer Position Remuneration

• Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
• Holiday - Statutory
• Pension - 3%
