Structural Design Engineer

Location: Canterbury, Kent

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (Depending on Experience)

Office Based

Hunter Mason’s Client is a multi-disciplinary construction consultancy with Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil engineering as the core design disciplines. They have now identified the need for a structural engineer who has experience with design in the Civil Sector to join their rapidly expanding team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and analysis of Structural components and systems
  • Thorough working knowledge of Eurocodes
  • Regeneration / steel structure experience
  • Utilise Engineering software and tools for modelling and calculations
  • Support project teams in the planning, execution, and completion of Structural Engineering projects
  • Contribute to the preparation of project documentation, including drawings and specifications
  • Participate in site visits and inspections to gain practical insights into construction processes
  • Stay informed about industry trends, codes, and standards

We are looking for a candidate who is:

  • Within 25 miles of Canterbury, Kent
  • Ideally a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in structural design with an emphasis on steel structures
  • Strong Experience with load calculations/structural calculations
  • Experience with structural design and CAD software, such as Autodesk Inventor, or Autodesk Advanced Steel.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
