Structural Design Engineer required for a packaging manufacturer (corrugated) based in Newmarket. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have design or engineering qualifications with experience in packaging.

Structural Design Engineer - Cardboard Packaging Position Overview

Impact CAD software

Assumes responsibility for the day to day tasks of the Design Department

  • Control of documentation through Design, including First Time Run files and form costs
  • Creation of Designs - working with customers to understand their brief and deliver the requirement to a deadline
  • Assist with and provide proactive advice to the sales team to respond to customer requests
  • Oversee the role of the Sample Maker, ensuring samples are made and delivered on time

Office based, 8.30-5pm Monday to Friday

Salary dependent on experience likely £35k-£40k
