We have a fantastic opportunity for Two Street Care Operative at Bury Council. This is a full-time temporary role for the next 1 - 2 months, with the possibility of extension.

What is the role?

Bury Council are looking for two Street Care Operatives to work Neighbourhood / Street  Team, Ideally with experience in support work within the construction industry. Your role will be to undertake basic support work within projects, the person will work as part of a construction team, carrying out general construction tasks.

What are your responsibilities?



• Ability to understand policies and procedures



• Ability to work as part of a team.



• Ability to work on own initiative



• Good Communication skills



• Individual councils may have additional bespoke training courses – preference will be given to candidates who have attended these courses – where appropriate these will be identified as additional information.

Health and Safety.



• Must have attended a recognised construction health and safety course in the last five years.

Personal Protective Equipment.

What skills do you Need?

  • Must have previous Street Care Operative experience.
  • Excellent People skills, as you will be speaking to the public, other members of staff and senior managers.
  • You will need to be physically fit and healthy, as you will be lifting heavy items.
  • Must have full knowledge of Health and Safety
  • Mus have your own safety boots, and protective clothing/ overalls.
