Quest Search & Selection are partnering with this leading supply chain & food procurement organisation based in the UK. Their clients will include foodservice sites and hospitality partners who would purchase food, ingredients and everything in-between! This business work closely with their clients to deliver expert procurement services saving them both time and money and offering a unique purchasing power as their suppliers range from the most recognised brands in the industry to local providers.

They are looking for a skilled Procurement Buyer for newly design team, who will be working extensively alongside the Category, Account teams, and the wider business. Here you will deliver the commercial KPI’s and work on strategic projects regarding enhancing their procurement strategy within their supply chain and net zero goals.

Key responsibilities of Sourcing Buyer:

• Leading strategic and tactical work streams and delivering results on sourcing projects
• Learning and developing your procurement and buying skills through the Procurement Framework
• Utilising Scanmarket, to comply with internal governance and external audits
• Build great relationships with clients, stakeholder and the internal team
• Raise the profile of the Strategic Sourcing activity and outcomes
• Identify market trends and insight around best in class procurement
• Ensures the safe and ethical sourcing of great products and services
• To understand and promote the safe, ethical, environmental and local credentials of category, products and/or services

Requirements for this Sourcing Buyer:

• Has 2 years + experience with Procurement, Sourcing, Buying, Supply Cain within a retailer, foodservice or FMCG organisation
• Strong decision maker
• Strong buying pedigree & Category management knowledge
• Advanced computer skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work under pressurised timelines and deadlines
• Ability to work cross-functionally
• Highly commercial, strong negotiator, exceptional communicator and influencer at all levels
