Greater London Authority – Strategic Resourcing Specialist

Job Type: Full-time, Temporary. Hybrid working.

Location: City Hall, E16 1ZE

The Greater London Authority are seeking a Strategic Resourcing Specialist to join their dedicated team, providing comprehensive recruitment and retention services across the organisation. This role is ideal for someone with public sector experience who is passionate about delivering inclusive recruitment practices and has a CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Work as part of the Strategic Resourcing and Talent Team to deliver a full range of recruitment services.
  • Offer expert advice on various aspects of the recruitment process, including job advertisements, application forms, and selection processes.
  • Implement a variety of attraction methodologies to ensure diversity and fair access to opportunities while sourcing quality candidates cost-effectively.
  • Support the end-to-end recruitment cycle for executive and Board roles, including working with Executive Search firms.
  • Collaborate with senior managers to develop strategic workforce planning, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Assist with the production of data-driven insights to influence business strategy and provide accurate recruitment activity analysis.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with external stakeholders, including recruitment agencies.
  • Embrace a flexible approach to work, participating in multi-disciplinary, cross-departmental, and cross-organisational groups and project teams.
  • Promote equality of opportunities and address the diverse needs and aspirations of London’s communities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Recent resourcing experience within the public sector (local or central government, civil service).
  • Proven track record of delivering inclusive recruitment practices.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of strategic workforce planning.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to provide data-driven insights and analysis.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity and equality in the workplace.
