The Role

• Lead the development and support of the strategy for the purchasing/procurement management team, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
• Manage the end-to-end procurement process in accordance with program objectives, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and compliance.
• Play a pivotal role in crafting a strategic roadmap to support mid to long-term organisational goals, fostering sustainable growth and success.
• Take charge of nurturing and managing supplier relationships, fostering collaboration, trust, and mutual benefit.
• Oversee contract management, employing effective negotiation techniques to secure favourable terms and outcomes for the organisation.
• Implement robust mechanisms for supplier performance management, ensuring adherence to quality standards, timelines, and cost efficiency.

The candidate
As a seasoned procurement professional you will possess broad procurement/purchasing experience with a demonstrated history of successfully managing multiple projects to fruition. Bringing extensive experience in negotiation across all stages of the supply base management lifecycle, from strategy formulation to delivery and ongoing management you will also be able to demonstrate proficiency in developing and executing clear procurement strategies, with a track record of driving transformative change within organisations.
