This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a very exciting organisation that collaborates with a wide range of interesting clients. Events are held in Windsor and require regular overnight stays.

In your pivotal role, you’ll take the lead on development campaigns and events, capturing key themes and outcomes, and effectively promoting and reporting on their impact.

Offering £60,000 per annum including 25 days holidays, working hours 9am - 5pm. Located in Windsor, with a hybrid working arrangement; presence in the office is required for at least 50% of your time.

Your responsibilities will include orchestrating and supervising various training schemes, utilising the insights gained to refine and enhance future events. You will also be responsible for the direct management of the Event Management Team.

Your efforts will be instrumental in amplifying the organisation’s visibility through the creation of impactful reports, articles, podcasts, and webinars. These can be undertaken independently or in collaboration with internal teams.

The role will involve evaluating and reporting the significant impact their initiatives have on individuals, their affiliations, and broader society, inspiring positive change.

Duties:

  • Compile and present reports on the impact initiatives have on individuals, organisations, and wider society.
  • Enhance visibility and credibility within the industry and beyond.
  • Ensure the execution of events by managing the Event Management Team, maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Foster deeper engagement by developing follow-up events and opportunities, increasing participation and activity.
  • Bolster presence within the community by leveraging insights gained from events to inform compelling writings and promotional activities.
  • Actively contribute to the creation and dissemination of articles, white papers, and other informative materials.
  • Document and share the transformative impact of events through various channels, including social media, their website, and PR opportunities, in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Represent the organisation at events as a Director, which will include overnight stays in Windsor, to support delivery and stay abreast of the latest trends and impacts.
  • Collaborate with chairs and facilitators to ensure that event delivery remains exemplary.
  • Monitor event budgets to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Draft bespoke event proposals and manage relationships with bespoke clients.
  • Provide leadership and support to the Event Management Team.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with key venue providers.
  • Oversee budget management to ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Keep initiatives current by incorporating the latest trends and themes.
  • Build a comprehensive resource library to support ongoing development efforts.
  • Aid in strategic planning to ensure alignment with organisational purpose and vision.
  • Support the Business Development team in lead generation.
  • Participate in Trustee meetings as required.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in developing and managing growth-focused initiatives.
  • Understanding of or experience within the not-for-profit sector is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in facilitating group discussions and leading development-focused sessions.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of working collaboratively across departments.
  • Analytical skills for data interpretation and report writing.
  • Strategic thinker with a contribution to the overall planning and direction of the organisation.
  • Evidence of writing and publishing professional articles is desirable.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and articulation skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Flexibility to stay overnight as required by event schedules.
  • Hands-on approach and enthusiasm for making a significant impact within a small team.
  • High level of IT literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office applications like Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
