Looking for a Strategic Account Manager to join the team
Salary £60K Inclusive of Car Allowance
Purpose of Position
To retain and develop through proactive account management the value and profitability of a designated portfolio of key customers. The principles of partnering process will be applied.
Managing a team of Account Managers.
Key Tasks/Areas of Responsibility
- To develop, for each customer a detailed Account plan.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date information on all aspects of the customer business.
- Develop multi-functional and multi-level business relationships within customers organisations.
- Identify and develop any additional revenue opportunities within the portfolio and their associated companies. Maintain an up-to-date opportunity pipeline monitor.
- To contact all customers in line with the agreed contact matrix. Each call having pre-determined sales objectives.
- Identify and manage the resolution of customer problems to underpin long term account retention.
- Contact existing customers to maintain planned levels of revenue/contribution improvement.
- To monitor account profitability and seek opportunity for improvements.
- Update customers on any new products or service enhancements.
- Take ownership of all new accounts.
- Provide information and analysis on portfolio to CRM.

You will currently be in a Senior Account Management Role within the Parcels / Logistics Industry and be able to demonstrate a proven track record of success.
