Our client is a market-leading luxury investment firm looking to hire a Store manager to join their team in London. This is a very unique opportunity where you will assist with their growth plan by managing their new luxury drinks store in London. This role is best suited to someone passionate and highly knowledgeable on the luxury drinks industry and top-end luxury marketing. Success in this role will lead to future opportunities for further retail growth.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As the Store Manager you will oversee all aspects of the store opening and its subsequent performance. You will take on the position of Retail Manager and ‘Master of Spirits’. In this role you will work closely with the E-commerce Manager to ensure effective business strategies and performance.
  • 360-degree management of the store
  • Recruitment and onboarding for all new joiners
  • Develop a customer service-focused team
  • Prepare an annual budget that accommodates all financial tasks including payroll
  • Plan and action a weekly sales forecast
  • Analyse and report on actual sales performance
  • Develop strong working relationships with product suppliers, producers, and agencies and internal Buying Manager
  • Manage all social media platforms in line with company guidelines
  • Responsible for product range, availability, and stock management
  • Work closely with E-commerce Manager
  • Create a calendar that details recurring/seasonal promotions
  • Continuously keep up to date on commercial opportunities and potential areas for growth

WHO YOU ARE

As the Retail Manager for a boutique wine and spirit shop, this role requires someone with in-depth knowledge of the industry. You must be customer service focused, a natural problem solver and a great team leader.
  • WSET Level 3 Wine and WSET Level 3 Spirits or equivalent, with demonstrable knowledge in the whisky sector
    • Educated to degree level or equivalent
    • At least 5 years in a management position within the premium/luxury drinks industry
    • Demonstrable experience working towards targets and meeting KPIs
    • A proactive team player with a passion for all things fine!
