An exciting opportunity awaits for a Stock Condition Surveyor to join our exceptional team in Greater Manchester at Great Places Housing Group. In this vital role as a Stock Condition Surveyor, you'll be instrumental in maintaining the accuracy of our stock condition information at Great Places. Your responsibilities will encompass conducting comprehensive surveys and audits, ensuring our data remains robust and aligned with our corporate vision, asset strategy, and investment initiatives.

Collaborating closely with regional colleagues, you'll support the Strategic Asset and Investment Manager in upholding the highest standards for our stock portfolio data, essential for driving our ambitious 30-year business plan forward. What you will be doing…

As a Stock Condition Surveyor with us, you'll dive into a world of detailed surveys across a diverse array of assets, ensuring that data collection is accurate. Your role extends beyond data collection; your technical expertise will support colleagues and teams throughout the organisation. From property appraisals to home improvement requests and major adaptations, your insights will shape decisions and actions across the board.

But your impact doesn't stop there. You'll be right by the side of our Strategic Asset & Investment Manager, driving continuous improvement in how we collect and interpret stock information. Through rigorous data cleansing reviews, you'll ensure that our insights are sharper and more actionable than ever before.

Managing small and medium-scale improvement projects means you'll be at the forefront of turning plans into reality. From overseeing contractors to ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, your attention to detail will be the difference-maker in every project.

What will you get in return for your hard work and commitment?

We offer a competitive salary of circa £38,000 per annum based on a 35 hour week, starting with 26 days annual leave increasing up to 30 days within 5 years, plus bank holidays!

What will you need?

  • A relevant building surveying qualification to a minimum HNC/HND level and experience of stock condition or building surveying in the social or private housing sector, using asset management software and handheld devices.
  • A full clean driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Customer focused, ensuring we deliver the very best for our customers in terms of service delivery and product quality.
  • Proactivity and solution focused approach! The service is continuously evolving and you will be an important part of moving this forward.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to execute tasks with precision and timeliness, even when navigating high-pressure environments.
