Your new role
Are you an experienced Steel Fixer seeking a new challenge? Our client, a reputable construction company, is currently hiring two skilled individuals to join their team in Eye, Suffolk, as Steel Fixers for a long-term contract. If you have a CSCS card and expertise in working on big structures and 2/3m high walls, we want to hear from you!
As a Steel Fixer, you will play a pivotal role in the construction team, working on various projects involving big structures and 2/3m high walls. Your responsibilities will include:

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and plans to identify the required steel reinforcement.
• Cutting, bending, and shaping steel bars using hand and power tools.
• Installing and fixing steel reinforcement accurately within concrete structures.
• Ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment.

What you\'ll need to succeed

• Proven experience as a Steel Fixer in a construction environment.
• Expertise in working on big structures and 2/3m high walls.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and plans.
• Proficiency in cutting, bending, and shaping steel bars.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
