Statutory Accounts & Business Services Manager

Are you an Accounts Manager, Business Services Manager or PA to Partner, fully ACA or ACCA qualified with at least 3 years PQE, looking to upgrade to a modern and entrepreneurial West End based accountancy practice based in an easily accessible location? Are you looking for a role which is mainly statutory accounts, tax and advisory based, that will also involve managing a portfolio of clients, being the main point of contact, managing workflow and reviewing work? If so, this growing niche accountancy practice firm based in a prime location in Zone 1 Central London is looking to recruit an ACA or ACCA qualified Accounts Manager / Business Services Manager due to impressive growth over the last few years and winning new clients from larger firms. Your role will be varied and will include: managing your own portfolio of clients (300 clients including a mixture of corporate clients and individuals), reporting directly to Partner level, liaising directly with all clients, preparing statutory accounts from start to finish under both FRS 102 and FRS 105, corporation tax returns and offering clients advise how to improve their business. You will also get the chance to work on other areas of accountancy such as Personal tax returns, VAT returns, various reports, analysis and business management assignments, staff management duties and review work junior staff prepare. Your role will be varied and challenging, and training will be provided where necessary. The role will be a mixture of hands on for larger and more complex assignments (mainly corporate clients) and reviewing for smaller jobs (mainly personal clients). You will work in a newly created role that will provide you with many growth opportunities in the future including the chance to be promoted to a higher level in a short space of time. No experience of the client base is necessary although a strong interest in working with creative, media and Film & TV clients is essential.

To be considered for this new role (April 2024) you will be a qualified ACCA or ACA with at least 3 years PQE and currently working for a UK based practice firm with experience of the above duties, particularly preparing statutory accounts from start to finish, tax returns (ideally both corporation tax and personal tax) and reviewing work. You will either be working for a small or medium sized firm and looking to step up to a larger firm or you will already be working for a large practice and are looking to work in a more friendly firm with a better work life balance and faster progression. Experience of a wide range of software packages would be an advantage but training will be provided if necessary.
