Pay rate: £12.00ph and paid training.

Contract: 22nd July - 7th September. A chance to redeploy to other roles after this project

Shifts: Varied - 0830-1230 and 1400-1800 (double shifts can be worked if wanted)

Our Customer Service Assistants, will provide a First-class service to our passengers whilst ensuring their safety at all times.


As the first or last point of contact on a customer's journey, you'll be assisting the customers in the station with queries and offering assistance as when required at Penzance station. Helping the public to ensure they understand where to go during their journey, help them in and around the station and providing excellent customer care!

You will be involved in....

  • Meeting and greeting our customers as they enter and leave our station
  • Helping with station ramps which you will be fully trained on
  • Luggage assistance
  • Supporting customers needing assistance
  • Ensuring the safety of the station environment

You will need to:

  • Love the buzz of a busy environment, be able to keep your cool under pressure
  • Be safety conscious - able to spot and anticipate risk
  • Good written and verbal English
  • Clear DBS checks
  • Adhere to Adecco Rail Drug and Alcohol policy
  • Well-presented and willing to adhere to Adecco Rail uniform standards
  • After this project you will be able to redploy across a number of stations within the Cornwall/West region including WSM, Taunton, St Ives, Plymouth, St Erth - with a GWR train travel pass.

Please note a zero-alcohol tolerance is to be adhered to working on the railway and candidates cannot turn up under the influence of alcohol.
