Sports Specialist Mentor - North Nottinghamshire

Hays Education have the perfect opportunity for a sports coach or sports graduate who is looking to support in a school-based role. We are working with education settings in North Nottinghamshire who are looking for a learning support assistant with a particular interest in sport to join their team asap on a full-time basis.

Your new role
Within this role, you will be working within a cohesive team to support on a 1:1 or small group basis. Using your knowledge and experience, your job will be to encourage learning and engagement by taking a tailored and holistic approach. You will be responsible for supporting students in their learning as well as their social, emotional and personal wellbeing.

What you'll need to succeed

• Recent and relevant experience working with children/ young adults
• Interest and experience in physical education/sports/learning outside the classroom
• Previous experience with challenging behaviour and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
• SEND and SEMH experience
• Passion for supporting teaching and learning
