Speech and Language Therapist- Band 5 or 6

Permanent role (or temp to perm) 3 days per week

Salary:Band 5-6 FTE £32,815 - £48,483 pro rata per annum inclusive of High Cost Area Supplement for Inner London

Location: Nightingale Community Academy, Beechcroft Road,Tooting, London

Working Pattern: 3 days per week (between 8.30 - 4.30), term time plus 2 weeks (41 working weeks)

Contract: Permanent

Nightingale Community Academy is a special school in Wandsworth for 120 boys aged 5 to 19 with social emotional and mental health needs.

Primary pupils benefit from a purpose-built classroom hub and outdoor adventure playground and access to weekly music lessons and a comprehensive therapy service. Secondary and post-16 students are offered a broad curriculum including vocational courses such as motor vehicle studies, construction, horticulture and hospitality. All pupils benefit from regular animal therapy at Tom’s Farm, which is located on the spacious school site.

Qualified Speech and Language Therapist to work in our school alongside our growing therapeutic team.

Based at a special school working with learners from the age of 5-19 who have Education Health Care Plans and the primary barrier being Social Emotional Mental Health difficulties.

Many of the school's learners also have other diagnoses.

You would be working on an exciting team of therapists consisting of Psychotherapists, Occupational Therapist, Behaviour support specialists, Learning support professionals and Qualified Teachers.

We are open to temp to perm or full-time or part time if shared with a second Speech therapist
