Join our specialist support worker team - £14.50 to £20.25 per hour

Are you experienced in supporting children or young people in crisis? Passionate about aiding vulnerable youth in our community? Looking to expand your career?

We're seeking dedicated support workers committed to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people in care. You'll join specialist teams providing high-level support, creating safe environments, and understanding the impact of trauma on behaviour and communication.

As part of a specialist team, you can expect to:

  • Dedicate your skills to supporting a child or young person
  • Provide day-to-day support including activities and appointments
  • Engage and encourage participation while maintaining structure
  • Provide accurate reports for care plans and goals
  • Ensure the safety and well being of children and young people

Requirements:

  • minimum of 6 months experience in childrens residential settings
  • Confidence in de-escalation techniques
  • Ability to make decisions in challenging situations
  • Strong communication and judgement skills
  • Commitment to the team and support required
  • Non-judgmental and resilient attitude
  • Experience with de-escalation

Skills and training required:

  • Driver's license and business insurance preferred
  • DBS on update service or willingness to apply
  • Registration with relevant regulatory body
  • PMVA training preferred or willingness to undergo training
  • Registered with Social Care Wales- or willing to.
