The Recruitment Co are looking for a Specialist Medical Engineer to join a facilities team in Barnsley, within this role you will be managing a team to complete PPM and Reactive maintenance on medical equipment across the site.

What you can expect in this role:


  • Leading a team to complete PPM and reactive maintenance of medical equipment

  • Maintaining written records of works carried out

  • Ensuring decontamination policy is adhered to.

  • Performing tasks inline with Health & Safety and Quality Standards.

  • Carrying out maintenance on Medical Gas equipment

  • Carrying out all work in-line with MHRA DB2005 standards

  • On-Call rota


The Ideal Candidate will have:


  • Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering

  • Experience working with Medical devices

  • Medical Gas Training

  • Ability to lead teams to obtain shared objectives

  • Ability to problem solve in order to create solutions for reactive maintenance

  • Ability to communicate at all levels with staff and other professionals

  • Up to £42,750 a year

  • A permanent role, with 37.5 hours a week
