Specialist HLTA

Are you a nurturing HLTA who loves working with young people with social, emotional and mental health needs? Do you want to join a friendly and supportive team in a therapeutic specialist school in Thetford? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

We are looking for a full-time HLTA to start after the Easter break. You will work Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm, supporting the teachers and pupils in various subjects and activities (including off-site visits to Thetford Forest and the local Sports Centre). You will also occasionally cover small class sizes of up to 8 pupils at one time, ensuring they receive the best possible support and education.

You will need to have a relevant qualification and experience as a HLTA, as well as a passion for helping children with additional needs. You will also need to be flexible, adaptable and resilient, as well as have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
