Recruiting on behalf of Bradfields Academy for a full time Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work with Secondary aged students that have ASD and Complex Needs. Music knowledge would be an advantage but not essential.

Full time - Term time only 31.8hrs/week

To start 3rd June

This role would suit someone who is experienced either working with children or adults with Learning Disabilities. To have a passion to make the students education and social development as positive as possible.

Special Needs Teaching Assistant we are looking for:

  • Someone with experience and knowledge of working with young adults or children with Complex Needs
  • Nurturing people who want to understand the needs of each learner
  • An understanding of traits and triggers
  • To work across the secondary subject range; music would be an advantage but not essential
  • To have strategies to communicate with non-verbal and verbal students for their learning outcomes
  • Able to make a positive classroom environment to eliminate challenging behaviour
  • Team player able to be flexible to work with a range of students and staff
