We are currently recruiting dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistants to work in Calne and surrounding areas. As an essential part of the educational team, you will play a vital role in providing tailored support to students with a range of SEN needs, including Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Your role will include:

  • Getting the classroom ready for lessons
  • Listening to children read, reading to them or telling them stories
  • Helping children who need extra support to complete tasks
  • Helping teachers to plan learning activities and complete records
  • Providing support to the lead teacher in classroom instruction and management
  • Assisting with classroom activities and lessons

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with individuals with SEN is desirable but not essential.
  • A compassionate and patient nature with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different educational settings and respond to the changing needs of students.
  • A valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate or willingness to obtain one.
