Our client is a prestigious private member's club nestled in the heart of Mayfair. Renowned for its exquisite and personalised service, the client aims to provide members with a home away from home. The client is offering a salary of between £30.000 to £35,000 depending on experience with an extensive list of benefits!

What Does the Role Entail?

You will play a pivotal role in curating unforgettable dining experiences for our discerning members. In this role, you will ensure adequate stocks of wine, service equipment, and wine lists are available at all times. You'll present the wine list to customers at the appropriate moment during their dining experience, offering knowledgeable assistance in selecting wines that complement their meal. Additionally, you'll promote wines that elevate the flavours of the client's range of cuisines, demonstrating expertise in identifying wines of exceptional quality and addressing any discrepancies accordingly. Shifts are 9 hours long, scheduled between Monday and Saturday, and between 6 am and 2 am on a rota basis.

What skills will you have?

Ideally, you will have previous experience working in a luxury hotel, restaurant, or private member's club, to give you a strong understanding of the type of clientele you will be serving. Strong knowledge of wines, including regions, varietals, and vintages, is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to engage effectively with members and colleagues, while the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment is crucial for maintaining impeccable standards of service.
