Akton currently have an exciting opportunity available to join a multi award-winning company as a Soft Landscape Foreman. This role, pivotal within the Construction division, entails spearheading soft landscaping and horticultural activities to actualize design-driven horticultural plans. The role will be covering projects across West/North London, Surrey and M4 corridor.

The ideal candidate should be dynamic, organized, and highly motivated, demonstrating the ability to drive projects forward with initiative. They must boast a proven track record of delivering high-end soft landscaping projects precisely to specification. Additionally, collaborative teamwork is essential, as the role involves leading a soft landscaping team and effectively liaising with various stakeholders such as landscape architects, garden designers, hard landscaping foremen, subcontractors, and clients.

Responsibilities include interpreting and implementing site design plans, managing landscaping staff, reporting to the Contracts Manager and Contracts Director, and maintaining horticultural elements to ensure sustained health. Other duties encompass turfing, tree planting, and adherence to Health & Safety protocols.

Qualifications for the role include a recognized horticultural qualification, a full clean UK driving license, and a CSCS card. Proficiency in using appropriate power tools is necessary, and certifications in spraying (PA1 PA6) and Ride-on Mowers would be advantageous. The ideal candidate should also possess excellent plant knowledge, prioritize Health & Safety, and demonstrate qualities such as proactive teamwork, independence, attention to detail, and good time-management.
