Job Description: Surface Mounted Technology Operator

Location: Stevenage, Herts

Duration: Permanent

Salary: 25k per annum DOE

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as an SMT Operator located in Stevenage. The SMT Operator will be responsible for operating and monitoring Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machines, conducting first-level maintenance, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The SMT Operator should be able to work with minimal supervision, communicate effectively with colleagues, and follow standard safety and quality procedures.

Key Skill Sets

• Prior experience operating SMT machines and troubleshooting machine issues.
• Knowledge of basic machine maintenance and quality inspection techniques
• Familiarity with Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) Assembly
• Ability to use hand tools and read work instructions, schematics, and drawing diagrams.

· IPC  610 experience is advantageous

· Ability to work from drawings, work instructions and diagrams

· Computer literate

· Ability to hand place SMT components.

· Experience in feeder MC set-up

· Experience in de-kitting
