Position: Production Assembler, Pick & Place Operative

This role combines a board level assembly role as well as holding principal responsibility for operating the Pick & Place machine. The successful candidate will possess a positive 'can-do' attitude and be an excellent problem solver and team player. With a methodical approach and eye for detail, the ideal candidate will be comfortable working unsupervised as well as part of a team and have demonstrable experience of operating a Pick & Place machine. A flexible team player with a strong background in electronics assembly.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operating and maintaining theSMT Pick & Place machines and observing stringent health & safety requirements.
    • Operating screen printing machine
    • Programming and setup of P&P machines
    • Programming and maintaining reflow oven
  • PCBA assembly involving SMT and PTH soldering
  • Cable assembly, involving the use of crimp tools
  • Electro mechanical assembly
  • Working from customer BOM's / drawings to ensure that manufacturing is completed to required standards.
  • PCBA rework



Experience / Skills / Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate Pick & Place machine essential.
  • Off-line programming of P&P machines (Juki etc)
  • Strong problem solving / diagnostic skills.
  • Excellent component recognition / knowledge.
  • Ability to work with fine pitch components under a microscope.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and clearly communicate technical information.
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload.
  • Ability to excel under pressure.

Hours of work Monday to Friday 07:30 - 16:00

Must have Right to Work in the UK as CANNOT offer sponsorship
