Skilled Operator - Afternoon Shift

Here in Boston we employ around 400 colleagues and produce ready to eat salads, prepared vegetables and snacks for many of the major retailers such as Coop, Boots, Greggs, Costco, Spar and BOL.

What you'll be doing:

Senior Operator - Cooling Operative - Back Shift 3's and 2's continental 16:00-00:00 at £12.68 per hour.

Cooling Operative responsibilities are:

* On the CQC the product will be transferred into the Quenching bath for 4 minutes prior to entering the chill basket.

* Time needs to be recorded once the product has exited the cooker onto the cooling paperwork.

* Ice to be added to every batch in the cooling vessel and top up if necessary.

* Temperature checks to be completed of the product using handheld probe. Temperature to be taken at a minimum of every 30 minutes until the product temperature achieves equal or less than 5 Degrees Celsius.

* Product has 4 hours to reach target, product can be placed in the blast chill to assist. If product does not reach temperature, then it will be required to be placed on hold and escalate to supervisor.

* Once product has reached temperature then transferred into trays.

* Record the batch code of oil onto the cooling record.

* Once traceability tags are applied then product to be transferred in the WIP area.

* Clean chill basket after each cook.

What we're looking for:

* Essential - previous experience working in a food factory

* Good level of English & Maths

* Basic understanding of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene

* Ability to work unsupervised.
