Skilled Labourer – Permanent – Lakenheath, Suffolk

A well-established and reputable construction main contractor are looking for a skilled labourer to join their team on a permanent basis, this is a great opportunity to join a company with the opportunity to progress within.

Skilled Labourer Role

General labouring duties – assisting with site setting up sites, temporary fencing, site cleaning, assisting with small minor building works and demolitions. Moving materials from the central compound to various sites on base.

Escorting duties – meeting delivery drivers and subcontractors at base entry gate, obtaining temporary base access passes from base security forces from them, then escorting then to relevant site and then escorting them off base when required. (Contractor van will be supplied when on base).

Skilled Labourer Requirements

The candidate needs to be the right person, they would need to obtain a high security clearance in addition to standard DBS requirements, especially as working in restricted areas were enhanced security clearance will be needed, the contractor will take you through this process. A base driving test would also need to be done to enable driving and escorting while on live airside taxiways.

Skilled Labourer Package

Hours of works will be 07.30 to 17.00 Monday to Friday with some Saturday and Sunday working required.

Salary between £25,000 - £30,000 dependant on experience
