Skilled Ductwork Fabricator

Our client is involved in producing several high-spec parts for the conveyor systems and architectural fabrication. Naturally all candidates for the Skilled Ductwork Fabricator role will need to be confident in their abilities, have a keen eye for detail, and a good understanding of core manufacturing principles.

We are seeking an experienced Skilled Ductwork Fabricator for a domestic manufacturing company in North Birmingham, easily accessible from the areas of Coleshill, Hamms Hall and Solihull. Ideal for those seeking a great temp-to-perm opportunity with free parking, attractive pay rates, plenty of overtime, and room to develop a number of engineering / machines skill-sets.

Duties Include:
" Stainless Steel fabrication
" Working with metal size 0.8mm up to 1.5mm
" Manufacturing bespoke silencers, and duct from Galvanised steel sheets
" Use hydraulic presses and cutting machines to bend and cut sheet
" Lift heavy materials and tools

Required attributes:
" Between 1 - 5 years' experience in a Ductwork Fabrication
" Proven ability to run and set several machines, ranging from brake presses, folding machines, lathes, rolling mills, bar presses, spin rivets, bandsaws, and guillotines, working in the finishing area of completed products
" Experience in the use of measuring equipment, such as tapes, verniers and callipers
" Able to read and replicate several complex technical drawings
" Familiar with handling stainless & mild steel and aluminium
" Confident in sub-assembly
" Flexible approach to working hours
" Ability to operate circular saw, linishing, drilling machines and carrying out oxy-acetylene soldering/ brazing (one or more of the above skills with suffice)

Pay rates for the successful Skilled Ductwork Fabricator will range from £13.00 upwards per hour based on experience.

Hours of work will be 07:00-16:30 Monday to Thursday, 07:00-14:00 on Fridays
