A leading air treatment specialist equipment and systems solutions provider is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor for a new manufacturing site in Sunderland.

As Site Supervisor you will ensure engineering support is effective and efficient throughout the project delivery phase. This will include responsibility for making sure projects stay on schedule, within budgets, and that invoices are raised.

This role is being offered on an initial 12 month FTC with an attractive salary and benefits (although we can consider someone as an off-payroll contractor).

Key Activities and Accountabilities

  • To expedite prompt delivery of project activities
  • To maintain communication with customers, colleagues and other contractors, and keep them informed of project timescales
  • Check overall safety on site and that the site teams are working safely in compliance with latest RAMS.
  • Manage and maintain contractors work permits on a daily basis.
  • Make sure individuals / teams have safe work equipment and correct (general and specific if applicable) PPE for the duration of the task.
  • Ensure that quality site records are dully filled in compliance with site procedures.
  • To manage sub-contractors including Health and safety and CDM where required
  • Conduct activities in accordance with company health and safety policies
  • Work with the line Manager to plan and prioritise workload. Liaise with primary site contractor and participate in daily meetings where required.
  • Carryout onsite toolbox talks.
  • Ensure work is in accordance with ISO 9001 and work instructions are in accordance with ISO 9001
  • Help manage approved suppliers and contractors
  • Maintaining good customer relationships

Applications are invited from Site Supervisors, Site Managers, as well as Project Engineers and Managers with previous site supervision experience.

You will need to have excellent communication skills and build working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including customers, engineering and service support teams, contractors and subcontractors, sales and management teams.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Minimum of three years site supervision experience.
  • H&S Qualifications, minimum SMSTS.
  • Must have CSCS Card
  • Knowledge of the HVAC Industry.
  • Have presented technical reports in customer friendly languages/styles
