This global civil engineering client is seeking an experienced Sub Agent to lead a large construction team including full responsibility for all aspects of the works programme. Based in North Wales and due to the site location, there is an expectation to live client-side (Monday to Thursday), with accommodation and meal allowances heavily subsidised by the employer. Offering a salary range of £55k, plus a range of highly attractive employee benefits, car or car allowance and the offer of 4-5 years permanent, salaried employment.

Ideally educated to Degree level in Civil Engineering or Construction, with a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and project planning you will be proficient in the use of project management tools, techniques, and various software with a Full UK driving licence. As Sub Agent you will assist the main Project Manager/Site Agent in overseeing specific project components, coordinating and managing a range of activities on the construction site. You will review all plant, labour and material returns to identify areas of variance from planned usage, providing feedback to senior stakeholders, whilst managing wastage and consistently improving outcomes across the site. Management of all subcontractors within specific areas of responsibility, ensuring compliance with all project requirements.

As Sub Agent your career will evidence a robust understanding of contract and project management within the construction industry, ideally with tunnelling, culverts, underground and/or working at height experience due to the nature of the program of works. Able to confidently produce forecast plans against project completion dates, produce regular updates and assess quality of work in collaboration with the quantity surveying and buildings management team. Reviewing ITP's (Inspection test plans) and NCR's for all quality management processes is critical in this role, ensuring that all documentation is fully approved and in place prior to any commencing work within specific areas of responsibility.

Collaborating with Engineers, designers, contractors, and other stakeholders whilst Implementing health, safety, and environmental standards across the construction site all form key elements in the role. To assist and perform site inspections to verify work quality and adherence to engineering standard, providing technical support and guidance to subcontractors to ensure work meets required standards requires a confident leader, someone who can lead from the front and give plenty of constructive advice and guidance.
