The Role

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join our busy, multi-site engineering department.

To enable us to continue meeting high industry demands and in order to maintain and exceed the highest levels of quality and customer service expected, we are keen to hear from suitably skilled and experienced engineering professionals who may be interested in joining our team.

As our Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, coordinating, and delivering our C.I. and CAPEX projects across our sites, ensuring deadlines and scope are aligned and within budget. You will be competent in implementing and coordinating projects, utilising your strong project and man management skills and industry knowledge. Well versed within a manufacturing/FMCG environment, you will control costs ensuring timely and efficient project delivery,

Key Responsibilities

  • Set project timeline and monitor project deliverables
  • Full cost control and resolution of any disputes
  • Monthly cost forecasts and achieving projected revenues and gross margins
  • Deliver an end to end process with customers
  • Plan direct and indirect onsite resources
  • Occupational Health and Safety compliance
  • Update relevant stakeholders or team members on the project progress
  • Risk management and mitigation strategy
  • Coach and support project teams as required

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified or equivalent qualification
  • Time served mechanical/electrical engineer with a minimum 5 years post qualification experience
  • Certification in Project Management or equivalent qualification (Desirable)
  • Background in FMCG/Manufacturing or similar
  • Multi-disciplinary engineering experience with control and automation and PLC understanding
  • Sound knowledge of industrial electrical systems and understanding of system design
  • Strong communications skills & the ability to communicate across diverse audiences
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Competent MS Office user
