Your new company is a specialist ground works and civil engineering contractor that has been awarded a project in Lancing, West Sussex to refurbish, upgrade and re-instate elements of the public highway for a large utility service provider.
Your new role would be to manage the labour, plant, materials, program and practical completion on site through daily briefings, regular reporting, risk assessments, method statements acting as number one on site. The scope of works would include temporary works, traffic management, identifying underfloor services, breaking out of concrete, laying of kerbs, footpaths and re-instatement works.
What you'll need to succeed is a proven track record within the civil engineering and ground works industry as a site manager or general foreperson on projects within the UK highways or utility sector. You will hold CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid, excellent communication skills and be IT Literate. This is a permanent PAYE vacancy, so we are looking for a candidate with a stable work history rather than a self-employed CIS subcontractor.
