Job Title: Site Manager - Civils

Location: Plymouth, UK

Position Overview: They are seeking a highly experienced Civils Site Manager to join their dynamic team based in Plymouth. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil engineering, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of civil engineering projects, including earthworks, road construction, drainage, and utilities.
  • Liaise with clients to understand project requirements, provide updates, and address any concerns.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Supervise site personnel and subcontractors to ensure work is carried out efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety policies and procedures on site.
  • Monitor project costs and budgets, identifying areas for cost savings and efficiencies.
  • Prepare progress reports and communicate project status to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on earthworks, road construction, drainage, and utilities.
  • Strong background in engineering with relevant qualifications.
  • Proven experience in managing client relationships and delivering projects to client satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Hold valid CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid certifications.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and manage teams effectively.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.

Salary and Benefits:
